What up Cal fans! My name is Chase Hendricks, and I’m a wide receiver who transferred this spring to the California Golden Bears.

My football journey started at St. Mary's South Side Catholic High School in St. Louis, Missouri. The recruiting process began during my freshman year, and I was fortunate to receive opportunities from programs such as Arizona State Sun Devils, Kansas Jayhawks, Purdue Boilermakers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones, West Virginia Mountaineers, Colorado Buffaloes, and many others. That journey eventually led me to the Ohio Bobcats, where I had the opportunity to grow as both a player and a person.

As I entered this next chapter of my career, I wanted to find a place that felt like home while also challenging me to become the best version of myself.

From the moment I got around Cal, I could feel that it was different. The culture, the energy, and the people stood out immediately. The coaching staff believed in me, took the time to build genuine relationships, and made it clear that I could thrive both on and off the field here.

One thing that really stood out to me was the passion surrounding Cal football. The fans, the tradition, and the atmosphere around the program are special. There’s a level of pride that comes with being a Golden Bear, and I’m excited to be a part of it.

Throughout my journey, I've been blessed to have incredible mentors in my corner. I want to thank Coach Tony Woolfolk, Coach Ken Turner, and Coach Corey Bethany for everything they have done for me. Their guidance, support, and belief in me have helped shape my path and prepared me for this opportunity.

Academically, I plan to continue pursuing my degree in American Studies while building meaningful relationships and connections that will last long after football. Cal offers a world-class education, and that was a major factor in my decision.

Most importantly, I want to thank God for continuing to guide my steps. I also want to thank my mom, dad, family, teammates, coaches, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. None of this would be possible without their sacrifices, love, and encouragement.

Transferring to Cal is an incredible opportunity, and I’m grateful for the chance to be a part of something special. I’m ready to get to work, compete at the highest level, and represent this university with pride.

Go Bears!

So excited to see what this dude can do with Strong, Mini, Thomas and Perry in the passing game.

Looking forward to seeing him this fall and after getting All ACC honors and a degree from the University of California, seeing him on Sundays in the NFL.
25-20 is the final score... The University of California has won the 85th Big Game!
