One of my favorite questions to ask athletes is a simple one.
Where does your confidence come from?
Some players talk about talent.
Some point to past success.
Others tell you they've always believed in themselves.
When I asked Cal linebacker Tristan Jernigan that same question, his answer immediately caught my attention.
"My confidence comes from the work that I put in... and from how many times I've been embarrassed in this game.
