UCLA will walk into Memorial Stadium feeling like a program on the upswing.  They made a loudly acclaimed hire in new head coach Bob Chesney, who is coming off leading James Madison to the college football playoffs in 2025.

He inherited a team that struggled mightily on offense this past season.  The Bruins finished 14th in the Big 10 in total yards, 15th in yards per play and 16th in points scored (The Big10 has eighteen teams).
