Cal Football Safeties and Nickel Backs Preview - Lots of Returning Experience

Head Coach Tosh Lupoi and and defensive coordinator Michael Hutchings are rebuilding most of this defense from the ground up. Much of the interior line is new, as is the linebacker room, and a number of former blue-chip transfers will line up in September having never taken a meaningful snap in a Cal uniform. The middle of the secondary is the exception - to some extent.
