We are both going off topic, but couldn't agree with you more on the gold jerseys...or pants I would say. I wish we could change that lemon yellow to a real gold or at least something resembling gold, but I doubt that is going to happen...unfortunately.

One thing about having navy blue as one of your colors is that it is not necessary to wear black to feel/look "dark".

After I got done barfing i composed myself and figured it out. But for a few environmentally catastrophic moments, I fell for this. Had this actually happened I would probably still be barfing......for real.

I don't get all the kerfluffle about black and white unis. The Cal Band has been wearing them for decades.

Cal Band wears a dark shade of Navy blue. It is the same color as the uniform of the service.

As a one-time-only deal -- in some minor game -- I could go for all-black uniforms, under the condition that the numbers would also be black. Helmets, shoes, socks, tape, the works. Maybe do it the first game after I croak (not for a few decades, I hope). That would be quite an honor.

Did I post that at some point? I must be losing it. Yeah that was on our trip to Peru. The outfit is basically what I always wear but sometimes it's just a wee bit more out of place than others.

Best line was when I showed the picture to one of my football buddies and he said "Are you out of your mind or did you think you were meeting the Dalai Lama?"

First, LOL. Second, apologies if this causes any offense. Third, yes you did. I had to use long neglected research skills to find it again.

But the look is so quintessentially Cal, I had to have it. It's still my favorite non-suited look. JK and I had this convo when he was relatively new, so I wasn't sure he'd get it. Oh, but he got it, big time. Let's hope this look endures forever at Cal.

Not offended at all Fyght. I've looked worse - including 30 seconds after this picture was taken when the llama decided the gold buttons on my blazer looked more appetizing than the parsley or whatever the hell it was I was trying to feed it. Those things can move surprisingly fast.
