Whatever he was out of high school, it is clear what he is now, which is an average to below average Pac-12 QB.
He finished 11th in the Pac-12 in QBR last year. He finished 6th in QBR the year before.
Maybe he can close out his career at Cal with an excellent year, but so far he hasn't been the type of QB that we'd hoped for.
