I can bet all you right now that this chap flips to UCLA.
I have. He's using them to bury the last RB who flipped from Cal to Ucla down the depth chart so that he barely gets any rushing attempts anymore.01Bear said:fat_slice said:

Have you seen what Chip Kelly's doing with Brown and Charbonnet?

As a fan? Sure.
As a player? No, I wouldn't want to be recruited over with a new grad transfer every year.
Well, Caleb Johnson is not afraid to compete.fat_slice said:WalterSobchak said:

Fair point. In that case I'd like to utilize the "afraid to compete" rationale.

What if Cal goes undefeated in Pac-12 play? Point is, this is all within Cal's control and whatever happens, Cal deserves it. If Ott and Martin commit elsewhere, it'll be Cal's fault, not theirs.fat_slice said:fat_slice said:

Some more evidence that this might be worse than we think. Our big 4* qb recruit who helped Ott decide on cal is still taking official visits to Ole Miss and you guessed it, UCLA. I can already see all this going down and it's painful to watch.

it won't be my dog's fault, or an earthquake's fault, either... if you find fault in this, then one must ask, who's fault will it be?calumnus said:rafterfan180 said:What if Cal goes undefeated in Pac-12 play? If they go elsewhere it won't be their fault but it won't be "Cal's" fault or the fan's fault.

I hear what you're saying, yet who and what system are responsible for the over six decades worth of almost continuous hiring of unqualified, unproven coaches and ADs, who cannot be solely faulted for the foreseeable result of living up to their low qualifications. The buck doesn't stop with the HC; after over half a century of face-plantations, we can (and should) take it to a meta level. Ultimately, who but Cal boosters and season-ticket holders choose via our complacency & low standards to pretty much keep employing the same system & procedures for every hiring decision.calumnus said:The guy who gets paid over $3 million a year to assemble a staff, recruit players. win games, recruit players, win games, etc is the one who should be accountable for the results of the above.Chapman_is_Gone said:it won't be my dog's fault, or an earthquake's fault, either... if you find fault in this, then one must ask, who's fault will it be?calumnus said:If they go elsewhere it won't be their fault but it won't be "Cal's" fault or the fan's fault.rafterfan180 said:
