Lubbock, much more livable, safe.
Bovine feces vs. human feces??? Is there a winner?KoreAmBear said:
Lubbock v. Dallas. That's like Turlock v. SF.

F' Sunny, he bolted as fast as he could, I no longer care what he does with career, also I don't care about kids who don't want to play at Cal, I wish no harm to them but I don't care to continually Rae about them on this website!
JW is on the hot seat, he can save his arse for another year if he can beat two of the three California schools but if last week was his last win, then it's time for the AD to get the big donors to pay off JW and his staff.

Given that Spike was TT's coach for a while, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sonny ends up there. I think that history probably has a lot more to do with the situation than a lot of this other atmospheric stuff. If Sonny always wanted to coach at TT to follow in his dad's footsteps or whatever, now is his chance.

Dykes to Texas would be a fun story.
Yes, forgot he went there too. He wasn't born in Lubbock though - according to the internet he's from about 90 minutes away in Big Spring, wherever that is (ok looks like at the time Spike was a HS football coach there which makes sense).calumnus said:Unit2Sucks said:

Sonny was born in Lubbock. He played baseball at TT. He is an alum.
SMU is going nowhere. The B12 has already made a decision to replace TX and OK. Cincinnati, UCF, BYU and Houston are joining the conference.calumnus said:
When Texas and Oklahoma leave the B12, SMU will be a logical candidate to join. Texas Tech is not a better job, but he is an alum.
I agree with the article, his next job is probably SEC, maybe B1G. ACC or PAC-12 (Arizona?) possibly.
It looks like he still acts like an ass on the sidelines…..Nasal Mucus Goldenbear said:
Looking at the OP photo I thought maybe Sonny had lost that fire in the chicken spaghetti belly now in his 50s. But...

Thanks KBear, I grew up in Turlock and have lived all my 70 years there except for the two years at Cal and eight more after that in Berkeley, Alameda and Oakland. It's a great place to live and raise a family and while I have never been to Lubbock I doubt it is very similar to Turlock. However, I get your point. Some people just prefer big cities and what they offer. I enjoyed my time in the Bay Area after graduation for a while but got tired of it and was glad to move home.KoreAmBear said:

Haha I was messing around. One of my best friends my first year in the dorms was from Turlock - we used to go to Harmon Gym together for all games. I have no idea about the place except I am assuming it is along the grape vine. But yah I am sure it's nice. When I was a freshman (88-89) I recall a men's basketball player from Turlock. My friend had to note that.Larno said:Thanks KBear, I grew up in Turlock and have lived all my 70 years there except for the two years at Cal and eight more after that in Berkeley, Alameda and Oakland.
