The Pac-12 is losing USC and UCLA, but Oregon and Washington still have each other. And each school still has enough to sell should they attempt to follow the Trojans and Bruins to the Big Ten.

Hmmm I wonder what other two schools could possibly work together?

I sincerely hope that Cal & Furd have been working together silently and submitted an application to the Big Ten without alerting any of the media. Will be beyond done with Cal if we didn't even try to get in.

Obviously it would be malpractice, betrayal, incompetence, dereliction of duty, or whatever you want to call it, if Cal fails to make a strong application to the Big Ten.

But notwithstanding the Oregon/Washington wishful thinking, the Big Ten has been getting applications on the regular ever since the Texas-Oklahoma move to the SEC became public. Have to think that half the Big 12 remainers applied to join the Big Ten. Did any of them get in? For everyone who thinks AAU membership is soooo important, did Kansas get in? Their fans have been begging nonstop on the internet for the last year. Presumably their administrators have been begging their contacts in the Big Ten.

These are all schools of higher education and yet nobody can count above 10.
