It's been awhile since I've been this excited about a speedy running back since Jahvid joined Cal in 2007. Yeah, he's exciting but it is early in his career to compare him to Best (or Lynch or Muncie) on the basis of one huge game. When I was in school Jerry Drew set a single game rushing record that stood for decades but, on the whole, was a pretty ordinary journeyman RB. I look forward to more game changing production from Ott but I'll wait a bit to start ranking him with our greatest.

Both phenomenal rb's. I recall Best making ankle breaking moves to get through the line then repeatedly running straight into a linebacker early on in his first season. Again, both amazing backs. Ott's decision making is better at this stage of his game.

I remember 13 years ago being in Las Vegas during this 2009 Cal v Stanford game. I was watching it enjoying it in the hotel sports bar. A real dick head of a Stanford student showed up and acted like quite the ass as Stanford went up early.

I think Ott's best comp is Daniel Lasco. Similar build, similar running style. I think Ott is Lasco++, but they seem much more similar than any other former Cal great RB.

Daniel Lasco? He's not even in my top 15 of Cal running backs I've seen play for the Bears. And he never had the potential Ott has surfaced in just 4 games.

I guess the biggest question is, Will Musgrave F this great weapon we have or wil we continue throw 1st and run 2nd. I was always taught establish the run to set up the pass.
