Does Musgrave have any previous experience? Seems like this is his first job out of high school.

was thinking the same thing. Plummer and whole OL rolls right, throws a pass to the sideline that only our WR has a chance , worst case? incompletion with 8 seconds left giving them the ball at the 50 yard line. Best case we convert and use our timeouts and get close for a FGbearsandgiants said:
We should go for a 20 yard play here and either get first down and a kick or leave wassou with one play. But we won't.
This game is flying by, but we had the ball 18 minutes to Wazzu's 12, if we can keep that going we can wear them down.sycasey said:
Well . . . it could be worse.

Run outside with Ott. How hard is that?

but naw. lets just punt (equally risky of a block IMO)
This is the true problem. I don't care if its not old-school, he's gotta get off the sidelines and into the booth. He just doesn't see the field well. And if that doesn't fix things, then the issue is himcal93 said:
This offensive coaching staff is really out-of-tune and inept. We got the ball back with 1:47 and 3 time-out. First play 9 yards. Second play doesn't get run until there is 1:06 left on the clock. Even Plummer looked annoyed that the play call didn't get to him until probably 1:15 left. 2nd down/3rd down plays are duds, timeout called either before 3rd down or punt of 4th down. I ask you why not call a time-out when you didn't get the play in and the clock ran down to 1:06. We have two TO's left at the end of the half. Why, why?
Withstanding that, why is it that we seem to run plays on 3rd down where the receiver is literally 2-3 yards short of the first down. We have some nice players, but not many are going to pull out the YAC on these pass plays.
You have a player that is better running outside of the tackles, but we seem to run him inside of tackles where the lanes tend to clog up. We've seen his vision and shiftiness outside the tackles. Yet, we seem to stay away from this in spite of the fact he pilled up nearly 300 yards last week with most of those of yards coming off-tackle.
I know the OL has problems, but its like Musgrave and the coaches don't recognize the issues. I really think Musgrave being on the sidelines is a huge detriment to seeing the game. The guys up in the booth clearly aren't able to communicate things to him efficiently. Shouldn't the coaches game plan to the player's strength? Musgrave, et all, seem to want to force their style despite not having the players to do it. It's just maddening.

the issue is him, period. Hes not a newbie, we could have made that conclusion last year, or the year beforeeastcoastcal said:This is the true problem. The longest running ad in TV history? It's legendary!

So far it's looking like last week's improved offense was an anomaly. What bothers me the most though is that the first half was really boring.
