I'm only mildly interested. Davis Webb parachuted into Cal because Dykes couldn't leverage Goff's success to recruit a replacement QB from high school. I bet the guy never sets foot in Berkeley again.

Welcome to the modern world of recruiting with the portal. At least he came to us rather than leaving us. And as I recall he said if he started an NFL game where the players introduced themselves he would identify having come from Cal.

Daniel Jones is starting. But hopefully Webb gets some snaps. In my mind, he's still a Bear!!

About the same as Webb. I was hoping Millner would beat Plummer out for the starting spot. Mainly because it would indicate that Musgrave can actually recruit and develop a QB. I realize that Millner, like Plummer, made a football-based decision to come to Cal, but hopefully over his time there (hopefully more than two years) he'll get a degree and develop some kind of affection for the place, like we all have. Since Plummer is the starter, I hope he does well because it should mean that Cal does well, but that's the extent of it.

Garbers was a Dykes recruit and commit who stayed for Wilcox. In the last five years, who has Wilcox recruited out of high school that has ever started a game for us?

In 11 years with Tedford it was Longshore, Riley, Levy, Mansion and Bridgford? Have any even been on an NFL scout team?

Plummer is our current Webb. Hopefully he plays well enough to get drafted and have a chance to play in the NFL.

Interesting list. Tom Brady - by FAR - was the lowest drafted QB playing at #199. Most of the QBs starting are first rounders. A few are playing who are back ups and further down the draft board. But not a lot of Brady and Montana's there anymore.
