I rhought there was a way a team can squeeze into a bowl game at 5-7? True or wishful thinking....

Yup - even last year there was some speculation that Cal would replace another bowl team that was no longer available. They just need approval to play.

Let's just beat UCLA and see if they will allow us to have a chance via some special provision. We usually don't take care of business in these scenarios, that's usually the first problem.

Our best win according to Sagarin is #67 Arizona.

We should dub our spring game as our bowl game each year to increase attendance and not be pissed off at the results of the remainder of the season.

We could even call it the Berkeley Bowl!

If we play Hawaii in Hawaii we get a 13th game. So make it our 13th game, last game of the season. Treat it like a bowl game. Get C&H Sugar (California and Hawaii) to sponsor (even though sugar is no longer grown in Hawaii) call it the "C&H Sugar Bowl" or "C&H Sugar Classic." Importantly, use it to recruit Hawaii, hard, especially for OL and DL.

As much as I want another game.....can I live through another almost win? Better to cut off the arm and live for another day.....
