Very informative article. To the former LSJUMB leaders who lament the band not being student-run anymore, hey, it's because the student-run band embarrassed your university time and time again. You only get so many warnings.

The Cal Band is student-run and produces an entirely different product.

Trying to read that article is like channel surfing and stopping on Fox News to see what the enemy is thinking….after 10 seconds it is so unbearable that you simply move on.

Seems like a muddled message. Our band has fallen on hard times, we can't even make fundamental band decisions, so give us less money. Why not tell the University to return control back to the students and provide sufficient funding?

With student-made decisions and a little $$$ they can get their drum major back into a nice pregnant nun costume in time for the next Notre Dame game!

The '70s wants its humor back. As much as I may miss it, you don't see Animal House on the TV anymore for a reason. Everyone's feelings matter in the 21st century. The Furdies need to stop being lazy and find a new schtick.

The article even mentioned a student-led Stanfurd Band as a "safe space" for its members.
