I read they are considering the dark side. But, who knows. I agree with you. I hope the Christ and JK are busy, but not with the MW or AAC.
Hate that we are relying on the kindness of Stanford to take us with them because, if it were up to our administrators capabilities, we would take 25% of normal share to join MWC.HateRed said:

Don't worry everyone, Carol and Jim are not "just waiting on the sidelines." In fact they have a regents meeting scheduled for tomorrow morning where they will announce a 6 month plan led by a third party consulting service to find us a home.
Sources: In the next 24 hours, there’s two calls for the ACC to vet and have early exploratory discussions on the potential addition of Cal and Stanford. One is for ACC athletic directors and the other for the league's presidents and chancellors.

In terms of football, yes. In terms of basketball, academic prowess and desirable road trip destinations, I'd argue the acc blows the big12 out of the water, even without florida state and clemson.golden sloth said:

If a Big Ten invite ain't happening, I'd take an ACC invite over an MWC one in a heartbeat. Yes, this likely isn't a long-term solution, but I think it's the best chance for our survival.
Can you imagine, before all this bs started, if someone had told you that Cal and Stanfurd would be joining the Atlantic Coast Conference? You'd have laughed and asked them if they had ever looked at a map or knew even the first thing about geography.

Just the thought of joining the ACC has me looking at plane tickets to see what it would take to see Cal play Duke, UNC, Virginia, and Boston College.

If the non-revenue teams take commercial flights, it's probably easier and quicker to get to Miami, boston, atlanta, charlotte, and Pittsburgh than it is to get to Lubbock, ames, Stillwater or Manhattan.
