Rich Eisen: What Pac-12 Defections Mean for the Future of College Football | The Rich Eisen Show

Nothing earth shattering, but an interesting take.

Question: Do we know which President asked the Big 12 (if they could take all nine of us?"

I would guess Arizona's, but i base that on nothing except they were the first after Colorado to have left. Not sure why they'd have sold out WSU & OSU so quickly but makes the most sense timing wise.

If it happened, anyway. A lot of the 'quotes' floating around twitter are heresay and a lot of it was probably never said or taken out of context at best.

My guess is Utah bc they were pretty vocal about wanting to stay with Cal for the research perks.
Please give to Cal Legends at https://calegends.com/calegendsdonate/donate-football/ and encourage everyone you know who loves Cal sports to do it too.

To be in the Top 1% of all NIL collectives we only need around 10% of alumni to give $300 per year. Please help spread the word. "If we don't broaden this base we're dead." - Sebastabear

Thanks for reading my sig! Please consider copying or adapting it and using it on all of your posts too. Go Bears!

Fox and ESPN gave the B-12 carte blanche to add 4 "P5" (=PAC-10) schools at full payout. Not 6. Adding more schools would require negotiations with ESPN and Fox and require more time. Best to grab one of the 4 guaranteed slots first, then maybe lobby for WSU and OSU later.

For the ignorant and young, how do Big 10 schools get research perks by being in the same conference as Cal//Stanford ? Does it move the needle?

I love all the chatter on here and enthusiasm for Cal Football, but never participate. I just don't have anything noteworthy to add.
