It would be a downright travesty if Ott got another concussion while in college let alone the very next week. If he did in face have a concussion, I hope we don't play him this week even if he is feeling 100% and the doctor's clear him. Really bad optics too.
He was walking around after the game last week so obviously not in great shape but doing alright, on Saturday we probably have him out in space as a speedback and work the other RBs inside.

Which should have been the plan against Auburn.

Did you see how many screen and swing passes we threw at him?

All telegraphed. How many tines did we go outside on the pitch? How many runs were faked inside with him then bouncing outside?

With a big fast defense like Auburn how about fake Ott left with Jackson keeping and going right? Or run a reverse? Get the defense moving laterally in the wrong direction.

They did run a reverse. They couldn't execute it and lost yardage. All Ott and Jackson tried to do was run laterally for the most part and got caught most times.
You need more kool-aid.

Absolutely be cautious with Jaydn Ott, but if he and the medical team believe he isn't taking a significant further risk by playing, give him the ball! Speaking of risks, he probably shouldn't try hurdling the defenders anymore.
didn't hurdling defenders used to be a penalty? If so, they need to bring it back.
Or, at least, make mandatory regular viewing the ill fated, near catastrophic attempt made by Jahvid Best.
I have been told Jaydn was indeed shown Jahvid's season/ career ending hurdle last week and told never ever to do that again. I think he had seen it previously but obviously the implications did not fully sink in.

See we know coachin' an' stuff. Some of this is just common sense.

Actually the biggest problem was that nobody blocked Asante. Repeated run blitzes and nobody ever accounted for him.
Also Jackson unable to make the right quick decisions at times. The last interception, which I previously thought was a desperation fourth down heave under pressure, was actually just a poor decision. He was under pressure but didn't have to throw it in to double coverage in the end zone when he had Hunter open underneath right at the first down line at the five. Oh well. He needs experience, and I hope he gets a lot of it in a win this Saturday.
Or is Jackson not seeing the blitz and audibling to another play?

Well what? How about a play where somebody at least tries to block the guy?

Bingo!
Asante looked like an ALL PRO out there because no one laid a hand on him.
Multiple times.

Asante was named the SEC's Defensive Player of the Week:

Maybe he wouldn't have been if someone had even tried to block him. Adjust the game plan when necessary.
