Yeah, they're not going to screw up. At the end of the day, the Regents will be on the hook for the stadium debt. They will need to figure out a way to make sure that Cal does not go under, because if Cal fails, a chain reaction will set off a set off problems the Regents will have to reckon with.

They had to table it to get back to the most pressing issue before them: allocating more money to the sausage vendor that had his profits seized by a University police officer in front of CMS after a game a few years back.

Pretty sure that is why they accepted the reduced acc share. And yes, they are stupid enough to have not inquired about this beforehand.

I will stick with my prediction that there will be some Calimony, but all or nearly all of it will come from UC systemwide funds, and none or almost none from UCLA's athletic revenue.

And it will only be for the first few years of reduced revenues.
