I dunno, he had 2-3 runs which were pretty impressive. Teach him how to slide and to avoid trying to show how tough he is by getting every last yard. Other than that, he needs to use all the weapons available to him. Go for broke. We're not in a position to settle for less than that.

Agreed. When you are on the field you play to win the game. Being able to run for a first down is a key part of Mendoza's game, it is necessary for keeping the defense honest and for moving the chains, sustaining drives and scoring TDs. Similarly, Jackson's ability to break off a long run is a key part of his game. It opens up everything else (and no, he doesn't need to slide, we have RBs that are smaller, they never slide). Just go out and play the game. The coaches can't be holding them back. We did that too much with Garbers. Mendoza needs to just keep doing what he did against OSU and keep improving.
