Is it my imagination or does it appear that some of the traditional top fb teams are not as dominant as in the past? Bama, Bucks, SC, OK, PSU, even GA, are not overpowering teams as they have. Is NIL/Portal already evening things out? Just a random sense of the game, sans statistics. When scholly limits were 125, it was easy for the top 10 to sequester players to keep them from the competition. Altho 85 seems like the right number, 2nd and 3rd team players on the top teams can see better opps (and $$$, maybe) a little further down the list.

Michigan and Georgia I think has sucked up most of the oxygen in the room.

I think Georgia's as strong as ever but just a little bored. They blew out a decent Kentucky team last weekend.

Oklahoma probably used the portal/NIL to upgrade from their lousy season last year. Starting left tackle is Rouse from Stanford. Half of their offense is transfers per this depth chart.

I think with Alabama they have a young QB that is just not that good at this point.
