OK, you all know that already. I'm at the game and the folks giving away the Memorial Stadium replicas are begging me to take more than one. There only 10K so I'm guessing that by game time that will be about the total attendance.

It's a beautiful day, 1 PM start, against a winnable opponent, the last game of the season, the last Pac12 game ever and yet no one is showing up. I know the product hasn't been great, but for Gods sake if you are even a half hearted fan this is easy to do.

Worst case you sit in the sun and drink a beer.

Oh, by the way, at 12:15 there are exactly 6 students here.

The kickoff isn't for another 55 minutes. What is the rush?

I'm not a big fan of the fanbase, but nearly an hour early is a bit early to start making conclusions.

Also, it wouldnt surprise me if the person giving them away just wants to get rid of them so he/she can go do other things. Low level service workers have gotten incredibly lazy and lethargic about their jobs since the pandemic.

I didnt say poor. I just noticed when I go out to restaurants and bars, or do some retail shopping, the service has gotten noticeably worst.

It's Veterans Day weekend. Lotsa students left town. I had my usual pre-game lunch at Bowles Hall. Usually jammed. Today almost no one.

Amazing how America can boast of being so damn tough, gun-owing bad-asses. But when it comes to a job, you better be subservient and DO WHAT THAT DAMN BOSS SAYS! Wanna form a union? NO WAY! The boss says shut up and take it! You'll LIKE what we decide to give you.

If ANY workers in the world don't need a lecture on "hard work" and all that crap, it's Americans. Where hard work has been rewarded with lower pay, dismantled pensions, laughable "medical care," fewer rights, less security and reward, higher taxes and a royal screw job.

We're 3-6 with those wins coming against crappy teams. We have the worst coach in the conference, and the guy apparently can't get fired anytime soon. It's a beautiful day in the Bay, and there's plenty of other things for fans to do. I don't blame anyone for skipping out on this game.

Bad football does not inspire me/us to leave a good tailgate.

Speaking of students…when the mic-woman got on the PA and started the Bear Territory chant - before victory was in hand, before we punted to WSU to give them one more shot, that came perilously close to disaster… I was standing up and screaming. ARE YOU CRAZY?!! HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN A FOOTBALL GAME???

I didn't go to the game, because I suck, but the TV coverage made it look like there were a lot of students there, having a good time and not sucking. (If you were looking closely, you could maybe tell that it was a fairly limited number of students that they just kept showing over and over again... like the guy basically w/o muscles, flexing.)

I thought the west side of the stadium was quite full. I was impressed. The student section was a quarter full and pathetic.

The worst part was the mic-person sang "tell the whole wide world this is bear territory." We can't say "damn"?!?!

Fans of what? there's nothing to be a fan of. The 20K left each November are us cursed few who can't or won't quit and students who haven't figured it out its not getting better or have literally nothing better to do
