No. But that guy was right. He pissed me off downgrading many of our recruits after they committed to us. But invariably over the following 4-5 years, those particular recruits would turn out to be busts and would not contribute to the team. So, even though it always pissed me off at that time, more often than not, he was right. I don't even remember the players' names anymore. There was a top ten tight end, 4-stars, until he committed to Cal. He almost did not see the filed. He probably never deserved his temporary four stars and top ten rating. There was a running back that got downgraded and also turned out to suck, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I always imagined that the other coaches saw defects in 4* players that our coaches missed. It was almost like they thought, "Let's boost this guy, since Cal likes him. Then, he'll clog their roster."
