Viable Third Party candidates almost never show up -- extraordinarily rare in US Politics -- and yet RFK Jr. has a great shot at deciding the election. His support is mixed from both parties, and I have seen projections that show he is more damaging to both Trump and Biden (much more on damaging to Biden, but that is mostly due to media hysterics: Trump's support for and bragging about the COVID Vaccine does not sit well with a large minority of his base).

Rodgers himself likely has a high favorability rating, and tends to date Alpha females, which would poll well with women. As the VP, he could be the factor that pushes a Trump win instead of a Biden win. Conversely, if Kennedy chooses someone like Tulsi who has large support in Democratic minority groups, that could cause Trump to win the election.

My guess is Rogers would turn Kennedy down, knowing running as VP on this historic ticket would mean he would have to quit football. Mostly because I am sure Rogers knows he won't be the actual VP of the United States. If Kennedy had a real shot, I think Rogers would sign up!

I am sure Rogers considers being considered a great honor. I would. Who wouldn't?

There is a lot more than went into the US excess deaths than covid vaccine refusal and Trump and Putin. Obesity and actually reporting accurate statistics played a role. Rodgers isn't so much anti covid vax but anti-mandating the covid vax to young healthy athletes, such as himself. It was ridiculous that fit athletes, especially those who had already contracted covid, were prevented or hindered from playing their sports when covid was no longer a serious danger to them. Perhaps if the vaccine had a transparent safety record this wouldn't be an issue, as opposed to the CDC having to say VARS isn't accurate for the covid vaccine. Remember, there is a no control group for mRNA covid vaccines.

As someone not terribly happy with the two mainstream choices, I'd want to hear more from RFK, Jr, butting Rogers or Ventura make it pretty darn close to a non-starter.

Ventura has actually been a governor. Rodgers is a football player who rambles about other stuff on Pat McAfee's show sometimes. There's already a big gulf between them.

Not that it really matters who RFK Jr. will choose as his running mate. He hasn't even gotten on the ballot in most states.
