About 3 weeks ago, I had the urge to rewatch OJ: Made in America for the first time in 8 years.

So he's fresh in my memory.

(I think a lot of young people don't know just how crazy this was.)

They're damned if they mention it, and damned if they don't. I would guess they won't do it.

It's not just USC. Every NFL account is ignoring the news. Even their news accounts. Buffalo Bills, too. The Pro Football Hall of Fame released a statement mourning his loss, but hasn't posted anything to Twitter.

False alarm

"LAS VEGASWith onlookers gasping as the former football star made a big show of being too big for the casket, O.J. Simpson was reportedly allowed to remain alive Thursday after his coffin didn't fit. "If the coffin doesn't fit, you must let him live a bit." said O.J. eulogizer Tommie Lochran, who advocated for Simpson to continue living despite evidence that the coffin had shrunk after previously getting wet. "Any DNA found in the casket that appears to be Mr. Simpson's, I believe, was the result of contamination. It would be existential malpractice to allow Mr. Simpson to die knowing full well that this coffin was not made for him." At press time, Simpson went on a media blitz promoting his escape from death."

But what will Trump say?

Or rather, how will he attempt to spin it into some benefit for himself.

"OJ dies, vote for Trump!"

I just turned on NBA Today on ESPN and instead am seeing a lengthy OJ segment.

Yeah, I mean. They post something on IG or Twitter and they are going to get flamed hard. Not worth it. Players Assoc, USC, NFL - I'm sure they are saying - hard pass.

Here's what else transpired in the sports world on a day most will never forget, the white Bronco chase: June 17, 1994.

  • Arnold Palmer played his final round at the 1994 U.S. Open
  • Ken Griffey Jr. tied Babe Ruth's record for hitting the most home runs before June 30
  • The New York Rangers participated in their Stanley Cup Finals victory parade
  • The World Cup began in Chicago
  • Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks took place

That must've been a little sad for Kato Kaelin, knowing it will be his last minute in the spotlight... ever. I wonder if he ran out and got the blond highlights right before he posted.

He never played there. He was hurt for the game at Cal and the other time he played against Cal was in LA. He was only at USC two years.

Good one!
I was wondering if anyone would notice my grasping at the opportunity to inject that scurrilous name Trump into the discussion of the death of a murderer.

Speaking of Memorials and OJ, it appears he's been turned down at every graveyard from California to Florida. The operators don't want to deal with constantly have to re-seed urine stained patches of lawn,

cleaning up feces left behind,

or constantly troweling over pickaxe or graffiti damage as has been seen at other hated celebrity markers.

Instead, the Simpson family is going to go with an unceremonious dumping, or Burial at Sea: Osama bin Laden style!

So, no, Okaydo, you won't find any OJ-Memorial photos.

When I stepped off the plane from DC to SFO, my dad was there to greet me at the gate, like you could do in those days. His hello hug was oddly brief because he couldn't wait to get me to run back to the bar tv where, he explained, they had cut away from the NBA Finals game to show OJ's chase scene. I was like, "WHAT?!?!" He explained the whole LAPD press conference: "the Los Angeles police department is actively searching for Mr Simpson."
Audible gasps.

Shocking!
We then watched the chase scene ensue for 10 minutes in the terminal.
