To no one's surprise, Cal and every other school besides Texas, Michigan, and Colorado aren't on the regular edition cover. But what I'm curious about is whether it's be possible to do an official NIL supported cover where fans could buy an "official" template for download at a reasonable cost to print out and use themselves featuring a Cal player instead.

I could see there being restrictions on official EA logos, console logos, and other copyrighted elements, but no reason those would need to be there on the design.

Perhaps a limited amount could be printed and autographed or something as limited merch or a special trading card pull.

Would anyone else be interested in something like this or if not if anyone was planning to make a custom Cal cover anyways.

Heck yea I'd be interested! Getting excited for this game. This is the game I've been waiting 10+ years for its return , and the only game I told my wife 12 years ago I'd play if/when it ever returned. Starting to look for a PS 5 to purchase so I can be ready!
