Today I noticed that the city of Berkeley has turned Bancroft Way into a one lane road for autos from Gayley Road to Oxford. This really caused a traffic mess both before and after today's game. When we have a game that draws a bigger crowd, the mess is going to be even worse. This is just the latest example of the city going out of its way to make life more difficult for the university and its supporters. Previously, the road had two lanes going in the westerly direction.

Your solution??
Bring back bottled beer and cigars at CMS. Should get us back in the Rose Bowl!

His solution, as always, is to piss and moan and blame the city and university for every perceived problem.

Put the street back the way it was, with 2 traffic lanes heading west. If you want to create a dedicated bike lane, prohibit parking on one side or both sides of the street. Not sure what problem the city was attempting to solve, other than take a step toward eliminating auto traffic on Berkeley streets.
