At least against UC Davis our defensive front looked alright, the question is can our OL do their part in 3 weeks
It would be super hilarious if they just went out and sucked this year after all the complaining about being too good for the ACC.

FSU had a lot of roster turnover after last year. It's not totally unexpected that they'd have a rough start with some growing pains.
And also not crazy to think that they could improve a lot by the time Cal plays them, yeah.
also a side benefit, hoping that our matchup will bring in less FSU fans and thus make it a less hostile environment?

Cuse fan here. FSU fans are generally well behaved. If they get a lead on you they will do the obnoxious Tomahawk Chop over and over. You shouldn't have any issues with them.
The visitors side is hot as hll in September if sunny. The stadium looks nice on the outside but is a dumpy erector set inside. Amenities on the visitor side is a step back to 1977.
If you tailgate, meet up at the Tucker Civic Center Lot. It is nearly a mile walk but it is easy.
FSU fan board. One FSU fan believes that a ref blew a grounding call. My favorite response: "I'm telling you it's not blown. This is on purpose because of our law suit."
Also, a side benefit. With FSU coming into the game at 1-2 (at best), it will probably not be a national broadcast. So if Cal does get blitzed, it will be in the relatively hidden confines of the ACC network.TedfordTheGreat said:

Ron Rivera was an all American football player at Cal, played in the NFL with a super bowl title and coached the Panthers in the Super Bowl and won 2 NFL coach of the year awards.
I'd take Ron Rivera in a second over Bill O'Brien.
Bill O'Brien was born in Boston, grew up in the area, and coached around the ACC before heading to the NFL, so he was quite familiar with the job before taking it on.ColoradoBear said:***? That would be like Pete Carrol, John Madden, John Robinson, Bill Walsh, etc getting the Cal job just because they are from the Bau Area and rooted for Cal as kids…
Don't sleep on BC. They have a very good running game led by Castellanos, who is quite under rated, IMPO. Their also have a good OL who can give DL fits.
As for the game last night: F$U's inability to complete a pass fed right into BC's strength allowing them to run all night long right down F$U's throat then chase DJU off the field. At Clem's son he was never able to do anything under pressure and it ended up getting him benched. Rinse, repeat.
