Does anyone know how the players who left Cal for better NIL deals are doing, I'm thinking about the wideout who left for fucla a few seasons back?

I believe You're talking about J. Sturdivant . His best production came with Cal - 65 catch -755yds, 7 TDs

Last year with fucla -38 catches,597 yds, 4 TDs

So far 1st game 3/36

Off the top of my head: Sturdivant (as you mentioned), Jeremiah Hunter, Jermaine Terry, Mateen Baghani, and Kaleb Elarms-Orr. Of them I only know Sturdivant, Hunter, and Orr got NIL deals/payments. I'm assuming Terry did and Baghani has an outside shot at having been given something but I'm not certain there. This is mostly based off of who went to P5 (at the time) schools who could have offered something

The two other notable examples in my mind were Femi Oladejo (UCLA) and Kalem Elarms-Orr (TCU).

Oladejo started four games for UCLA last year, and had OK production, but nowhere near the output he had at Cal. Elarms-Orr has 6 tackles through 2 games so far, and 1 TFL, also behind his Cal levels of production.

We lost our kicker because he got a scholarship offer elsewhere (UCLA) and Hunter graduated and wanted to go to a program that would set him up for the NFL (Washington).

Bhaghani is starting for UCLA and had a good opening week. Hunter is off to a slow start for Washington, with 5 catches through 2 games, but is in the regular rotation.

I think it's fair to say that none of our NIL defections have blown up at other programs so far.

Oh, also McKade Mattauer to Oklahoma. That (plus the others in my post and Oladejo as mentioned by Cal06 are the guys we've lost to better NIL deals. None of them have really been real difference makers at their new schools (although Mettauer was good before his injury).

Hopefully everyone who can keeps ponying up though because if we wanna keep guys like Uluave/Nyziah/Fernando/Vatikani, keep getting portal players like Carleton/Harris/Reese/WRs (the whole group, even though Tobias and Kyion have yet to play), and keep incoming freshman like JKS then we're gonna need a war chest
