Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele and his Campbell squad played their first league game yesterday against Farrington in Campbell's homecoming game. They won 50-7 behind 5 more TD passes by JKS to move to 3-0.
His season stats are up to:
60/82, 73.2%, 1113 yards, 371.0 y/g , 16 TDs, 1 INT
14 rushes, 104 yards, 7.4 y/c, 34.7 y/g
He did throw his first interception of the season this week and generally wasn't as sharp as he usually is with a stat line of 18/30 (60%) for 403 yards, 5 TDs, and the 1 INT plus 5 rushes for -5 yards (including sack yardage).
The big news from the night though? **He became the leading passer in Hawaii prep football history**, passing current Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel. The Hawaii Prep World site (which also hasn't updated its numbers in a couple weeks) has him sitting about 1500 yards shy of the record but, as far as I can tell, that's because they only have his Campbell career counted and aren't including the 5 games he started at St. Louis as a freshman in '21 where he passed for another 1730 yards and 21 TDs in 5 games. Regardless, as it's difficult to verify either way without a lot of digging, I'm inclined to trust the local news outlet which seems pretty confident in his record breaking career. But, if it turns out he hasn't yet, it's only a matter of time. He also only needs 20 more TD passes to become the all-time Hawaii TD leader as well.

Up next for JKS and Campbell is the final (regular season) home game of his HS career against Kapolei before they hit the road for their final 4 games, including matchups against Hawaii powerhouse programs Mililani on Oct. 5 and against #1 ranked team in Hawaii Kahuku to end the season Oct. 19
