Not even a remote chance. He has a $65MM buyout and they just finished paying off Taggart's. Also, he was undefeated last year (until the bowl game) so he's earned some leeway. Buyer's remorse? Almost definitely. At risk of losing his job? Not this season.

Unless it gets shockingly awful (like winless bad) he is safe this season but will start to get hot seat talk if he does not entertain a QB change very soon.

I don't want Deion in the ACC. His one year in the P12 was a bust. How's the B12 working out for him?

interesting question. this time last year Prime was the biggest thing going in college football, but the luster has come off pretty dramatically.

still, at FSU he'd be able to recruit a team that would be hard to screw up. Texas A&M has shown it still can be screwed up, but it takes some doing. i'd prefer he stay at CU, personally.

I would get some sort of perverse pleasure seeing him come to FSU and screw things up even worse than they are. In fact, a good time to make the switch might be this week.

The last thing we need is FSU getting a shot in the arm but getting a new coach in this week.

Anyone remember what happened with UofA years ago when they fired their coach then beat us the next week?

If they're asking boosters for money to leave the ACC they need $500MM (if it happens probably negotiated down but still a large sum of money). Then they'd need $65MM to buy out NorveLLL (soon to be NorveLLLL). Then they need to buyout whatever coach they wanna poach. On top of that they need to offer a big contract. And they'd also need NIL money to give their new players to come on board a tenuous situation after they already paid $12MM for this year's roster. There's deep pockets in their alumni group but everyone has their limits and those bills add up, especially for a single season; we're talking about hundreds of millions if they go that route

Deion being regarded as a legitimate coach to take over a successful program is just wild to me, now.

How do you implement a $65 million buyout?? If I were Norvell I would keep losing - badly!

Exactly one year ago, yes (though not by me). But he's had a rough last 365 days, hasn't he? And all his own doing. Sad.

Deion would definitely screw up at FSU. He has not shown the ability to choose the correct staff to coach his players. Great for recruiting, but a disaster if they want a national championship
