I improved to 6-3 last week, boosting my season total to 20-18. Here's last week: https://bearinsider.com/forums/2/topics/122303
Buoyed by the optimism of one pretty good week, here's this week's picks. Odds are for the home team, my try not to hurt yourself laughing selection is in italics.

Cal @ Florida State -2: Yes, we've all seen this song before, Cal off to a great start, then cruelly slapped down. That doesn't happen this week. Close game with Cal beating the spread and squeaking out a win.

Furd @ Syracuse -9.5: Not expecting an upset, but feeling that Furd is just tenacious enough to beat the spread.

North Carolina State @ Clemson -20.5: State does enough to beat the spread, though upset is unlikely.

James Madison @ North Carolina -10.5: I don't care who they're playing, but I can't bring myself to favor a Mack Brown team. James Madison beats the spread.

Virginia @ Coastal Carolina +3: Cavaliers vs. Chanticleers. Got to like this game just based on those team names. Taking Virginia to cover.

Georgia Tech @ Louisville -10.5: Spread is too high. Tech beats it.

Rutgers @ Virginia Tech -3: Virginia Tech covers.

Duke @ Middle Tennessee +14: Duke reminds everyone there is a sport played before basketball season. Duke covers.

TCU @ SMU +2.5: Another Texas religious war. Methodists beat the spread.

Miami @ South Florida +16.5: Canes blow South Florida off the field and cover.

Michigan State @ Boston College -6.5: Should be a low scoring game with Boston College covering.

NL for Youngstown State @ Pitt.

Wake Forest in a nail biter vs. Bye.

I wish I'd been doing these all season but for this week my only discrepancy from yours is I think TCU (ugh, f*** Sonny) covers the spread vs SMU

Still stuck in the middle. 5-4 last week and 18-18 overall

Cal and take points. Agree with Tex
'Cuse and give points
Clemson and give points (tired of losing with NC State)
Madison and take points. What I didn't understand is why is the spread so low for an undefeated Carolina team at home? Must be Vegas knows something.
Coastal Carolina and take points. This isn't basketball and Coastal Carolina is pretty good and at home.
Louisville and give points: No idea how good Louisville is since they imposed beat downs on weak teams. Tech looks better than their 2-2 record. The coin flip came up Louisville.
VA tech and points. Tech typically plays well at home.
Duke and giving points. Duke is really mediocre and Middle Tennessee appears to be in the middle of Tennessee
Coin flip goes Duke's way.
SMU and giving points. Both teams had a reality check last week. If Sonny's guys can stop making mistakes, they should win and beat the spread. That probably is asking too much.
Miami and give points. So far Miami is blowing away their opponents.
BC and giving points. BC is locking much improved.

GT is 3-1. Beat F$U, GA St, VMI, and lost @Syracuse 31-28.

Louisville is 2-0. Beat Austin Peay and Jax St.

Agree. @Louisville is a tossup.

Cal plus the points and the under. Again. Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

I'm doing well (2-0 on parlays. 1-0 on the money line) with just the Bears, and don't know enough about the others.

Went 5-4 last week for 21-16 total.

Cal +2 vs. Florida State - don't feel great about this game but my one rule this year has been screw FSU, Clemson and UNC, and it's worked for FSU so far.
Syracuse -9.5 vs. Stanford
NC State +20.5 @ Clemson (see above, no reason except screw FSU, Clemson and UNC)
James Madison +10.5 @ North Carolina (see above, no reason except screw FSU, Clemson and UNC)
Coastal Carolina +3 vs. Virginia
Georgia Tech +10.5 @ Louisville (betting on Louisville looking ahead to Notre Dame following week)
Rutgers +3 @ Virginia Tech
Middle Tennessee +14 vs. Duke
SMU +2.5 vs. TCU
Miami -16.5 @ South Florida
Boston College -6.5 vs. Michigan State
