It's an interesting theory. I'd support giving him the interim title for the rest of the season since we've got nothing to lose. If he kills it then great.

No question that after 7 1/2 years with only 2 winning seasons (none in conference) and only 1 low level bowl game victory, it's time to part ways with Wilcox who should never have been extended (as a sign of gratitude for allegedly turning down his alma mater!).

If you have an article with Spavital's comments, i'd love to read it because I haven't seen it and cannot find it using google.

Yep. We went absolutely all-in on going up by one point with 2 minutes to go.

Doesn't matter who is coaching when your HC pulls that out of his hat.

Literally the only time in history when I watched a kick without a care about making it. Its amusing and poetic that he missed. But what if he doesnt? What is the BEST outcome?

Literally the only time in history when I watched a kick without a care about making it. Its amusing and poetic that he missed. But what if he doesnt? What is the BEST outcome?

How any coach other than Wilcox is to blame for anything is cope

Ok so this is why I turned off the TV before the kick.

Cause I knew it was a no win situation. Miss the kick, we lose. Make the kick, we lose but in even more excruciating fashion.

The defense played well and kept us in the game.

Really? After the kick, the Cal defense forced Pitt to punt after a 3 and out.

Yep trying to run clock in that situation is completely comparable to a situation in which you're in a do or die (all 4 downs) situation to get into FG range.
