Some travel plans just got canceled so I'm looking to go to Big Game with my family. The prices on StubHub seem artificially high ($250 per ticket? Cmon.) So if you have anywhere from 2 to 5 extra tickets, please send me a PM.

Thanks!

Check back Friday if you don't already have your tix. If rain is forecast, that 250 MP will drop like a rock.

Check TickPick or SeatGeek. Both have seats in the low $200s and many under that. I've used both services this season and encountered no problems.

I love my kids but I'm not paying low $200s for them to go to any game, lol.

Edit: I said StubHub in the OP but I meant SeatGeek. The lowest price per ticket for 4 tickets was like $220. I just checked again and there were some $180-190 in the Stanford section. Mmmm, no thanks.

Yup, I hear ya. I went to the Syracuse game @ $23/seat and as a beautiful autumn day in CMS, it was great. But from a football perspective, it wasn't worth the price. So, I'll skip the 200 mile round-trip from Roseville and watch the Big Game on TV.

I am also probably looking for 1-2 tickets (two if they are under $100, otherwise one)

Has it been definitively determined that they are not taking off the tarps and releasing another several thousand seats?

Agree that the price from resellers is likely to go down on Friday or so, as we will be engulfed in an atmospheric river and folks are more likely to pass up the game. Does anybody have a lot of experience buying through resellers and can speak to how the prices align with the timeline leading up to the game?

I'd guess the would go down the night before the game, but it's also possible people are waiting to get a final forecast. I think the ATO face value was $80-110 for the non bench back seats outside of a season ticket package.

I also remember the ATO would release unsold seats closer in to game time, but it's been a long time since Cal has had an actual sellout. I wouldn't put it past them to be using SeatGeek to sell the few extra at higher $$$ either. There are entire rows of seats in UU-TT and KK-L where I can't imagine anyone would have bought that many even for scalping because they wound have to be bought as a block before anyone else had access.

I am also looking for tickets. When some friends bought a couple months ago for $90 through the ticket office, I thought they were crazy. Now, they look brilliant.

I hate that the ticket office is intentionally cutting attendance with tarps and such. They should be willing to sell tickets up until closer to game day and then adjust tarps or other means of blocking seats as needed.

What happens with scalpers now that the tickets are on your phones? There always used to be scalpers on Piedmont Ave. before games with paper tickets. I have season tickets but I still wonder.

There are still paper tickets. You can go to the ato and buy paper tickets. I have friend who hates mobile tickets and does this .,plusCal does not use rolling bar codes so a screen shotnofa mobile ticket will scan and work. I have sent tickets to friends this way and they work .

I would guess mostscalpers have paper.

I was approached by 2 different scalpers before the Syracuse game next to Memorial Stadium. They ask if you have tickets to sell, but that usually means they have tickets to sell.

For regular games, prices tend to drop before the game. It may be not be true for the Big Game with tickets sold out. Some sites drop listings 3 - 4 hours before the game if the tickets are not instant downloads, so I would check 4.5 hours before gametime.

The weather is looking decent for Saturday in Berkeley. I drove to Eureka and back earlier this week from Santa Rosa. The wind was strong Tuesday in Eureka. There were some heavy downpours at times yesterday, but no worse than when I went home from Cal when I was a student this time of year.
