I expected more out of him - A&M, size, decent tapes. Hope he succeeds.DavisBear said:

Its amazing how this is going. Moss gets benched for Maiava and then leaves. I don't think that's the complete picture as I think USC got that 5 star kid Husan Longstreet. Total domino effect. Wonder if Maiava transfers too.72CalBear said:
Only the beginning. Moss leaving USC, Ucla QB Martin and leading RB TJ Harden exiting the Bruins. Love or hate the transfer portal, for those who have benefited and supported their school, learned the system, and stayed academically enrolled, it's an end game for any sustained loyalty. 4 year Bear graduates??
Honestly, the way he bolted off the field after the Big Game with absolutely every other teammate staying on the field celebrating left me wondering.oskidunker said:Nofado said:

Maybe he makes the news and opts out of the Bowl game. What are the odds? I say 50-50
If I were counseling Ott, I would recommend (based on what's widely known) to return next year, earn his degree and try to end his college career on a high note.Basketball Bear said:
I believe Ott will not play in the bowl game. If he plays, then he stays. He has not been the same since his injury and Jet has taken advantage and shown he is out next star runner.

Note: the details of his overall health issues have been a a little mysterious all year.
If he can do well again next year, he will improve his confidence and vastly improve his draft stock ....
That would be bad counselingoski003 said:If I were counseling Ott, I'd transfer to a school with a different run scheme. Will we hire a new OC before the portal closes? Doubtful...
Before it closes?! That would be extremely negligent, so I sure hope not. I think we need one by the time it officially opens (12/9)!bluehenbear said:

the BI chart has McDaniel at 84.3 - mid 3 Star.philly1121 said:Strykur said:That would be bad counselingoski003 said:If I were counseling Ott, I'd transfer to a school with a different run scheme. I don't think he plays in the bowl game and he probably leaves.
I'll say UCLA got their guy and it paid instant dividends as it looks like 4-Star Robert McDaniel has flipped from Arizona to UCLA. Why can't we make moves like this?

No one wants to come here. Cost of living and uncompetitive salary.
lol mid 3 star. He's an 89 on 247. And my point was that Sunseri recruited him and convinced him to go with him to UCLA.Rushinbear said:the BI chart has McDaniel at 84.3 - mid 3 Star.philly1121 said:Strykur said:That would be bad counselingoski003 said:If I were counseling Ott, I'd transfer to a school with a different run scheme. WR Nyziah Hunter to the portal. First big loss!

Who is this potential NFL QB we have coming in? We certainly don't have one on the roster LMAO, lets be serious.Alkiadt said:
As stated by someone else, it sounds like maybe a big payday demand? Or maybe he doesn't like school? Who knows.
Hunter is a starter with a potential NFL QB throwing to him in his draft eligible year.
Lots of other Portal Receivers looking for spots.
Good luck to him.
But Hunter and Sturdivant didn't do so well in their travels. Cal has multiple experienced receivers returning. Obviously I'd like it if he stays, but he's not irreplaceable in this era.
