He had 5 TDS and nearly 600 yards as a freshman. The offense suited him well. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. He was the #59 freshman receiver in his recruitment class, and he clearly outperformed most others ranked ahead of him. Cal did him well and vice versa.

Frankly, I'm sad that Hunter is leaving. He was one of the bright spots on offense, this year. He also proved he had the talent and ability to be a playmaker. (One of the most important abilities, of course, is availability, which too many of the "higher ranked" receivers lacked.)

I wish Nyziah well and hope he achieves his dreams. He was a great Cal Bear and I appreciate his accomplishments at Cal this year. I especially respect how he worked his way up the depth chart to be an impact player. His perseverance and dedication in the face of challenging odds represents what it means to be a Cal Bear.
