The guy doesn't give a **** about Cal football at all, so why would he care about Mendoza leaving? he has checked out a long time ago.oskidunker said:

"Surprised..disappointed" he says. Did all he could to support? They wanted that kid Sam kid and that NC state kid. They thought they had "the guy" last year and they both sucked. Nando comes in a blows them away and did a great job for little first string reps. He was our starter after last year and we knew he's the guy this year. And for wilsux to not name him the starter and Rogers comes in all camp? That's not support. I get everyone competes, but it showed no bye in and support for him. Screw Wilcox and co. This hurts losing him. Good kid and I truly thought bled blue and gold. But after travers HC got this crappy friend OC, I had a gut feeling nando was gone. He's smart enough to see writing on the wall. So will Ott and others. 3-9 season next year and then they will finally fire all of them. I see this

We may not have a team in 26. That's the problem.
In my estimation this is going to reduce us to 18k fans a game which is a 44% reduction in 8 mil a year gameday revenue.
It really is baffling.
We can't afford to pay a 2 mil a year severance but we can afford to lose 3.5 mil a year in lost ticket revenue?
Wake up!!!!

Why is GameDay revenue going to be reduced 44%? Please explain your calculations.

Like I said it's a guess since not much info is available on the number of season ticket holders so my estimate is that currently there are 12 thousand season ticket holders so they're a lock.
I'll put opposition at 4k a game since we don't have anyone on the schedule next year who travels well and will fill up anything more than P and O
I'll put walk ups at 2-5k a game given the abysmal trajectory that the on-field product is on with Wilmoe and I'll give 50 per game for local kids on the roster which right now is about 20 but decreasing by the day.
And I'll also add that we don't have the furdies at home next season. Other than them maybe we see north of 40k for the unc game given belichek? SMU? I dunno man.
Not alot to be cheery about.
This is why we need a good on field product.
To be honest I'm being generous if we start 2025 at 1-3 this could be far worse.
And I'm assuming we can beat Texas southern but I don't even think that's a lock for a w given they are a .500 team with an actual coach.

Okay, it is just that you wrote that losing Nando was going to lose us 43% of revenue. I now see that much of is it simply based on the schedule and your speculation that we will be bad. Glad you are being generous, spotting us one win in our first three games!

Whether or not this is true, it would only be true if we did nothing in response. It's entirely possible we end up with a better win performance out of our next qb than Fernando puts up somewhere else. We should focus on a strong replacement, a stronger line and better coaching, and we will be better off.
we're going to end up with more revenue from UCLA than game day salesCNHTH said:SouthKBear said:
