MWC bottom dwellers is where we will be. Stanford is making changes, we are treading water and sinking. Out of all the programs that played on GameDay, wonder if we have the worst record. Really backed into that one but took full advantage minus that L.

In the new era of CFB, the top programs were in a good position to consolidate their power and benefit from the changes.

Popular lower tier programs were given a way to buy talent, innovate, fundraise, and eventually claw their way into the big league.

Middling and bottom feeder P5 programs were put in the most immediate jeopardy. They had to adapt quickly or risk demotion and irrelevance.

Cal is in the third group.

We have an administrative culture that is allergic to change, I think even moreso because the stadium debt and lawsuits are still a somewhat fresh memory.

I hate the new era of CFB, but it is what it is. We adapt or we die. This is a very, very bad time for us to follow Wilcox and go into institutional turtle mode, but I fear that's exactly what the Cal admin has done. Next year will be incredibly bleak.

I predict we will have a winless season before the end of Wilcox's regime. Unfortunately we won't have anyone else to bail us out of it like we did for Arizona, Colorado and FSU

I m watching the chargers game and having PTSD. I saw harbaugh take a TO with 8 seconds left in the half to force the broncos to punt. I said to my wife, wilcox would just let the clock run out. Sure enough, they got fair catch intereference, and the kicker made a fair catch FG, first in 50+ years.

That's why harbaugh wins at every single stop. Everyone of them. Guy thinks like a winner and play the odds and roll the dice.

Wilcox is a loser. Sad part is that he doesn't have the self awareness to realize that

He knows the players will just let him down and he'll have to throw them under the bus at the presser afterwards.
