Bears have some serious speed, and UBC, despite playing some very solid defense, had a difficult time catching the Bears when ball got outside. As always British Columbia is a very solid side. But they were betrayed by some poorly executed passing by their backs, and that doomed a few opportunities that could have tested the Bears. Both packs were steady and physical and it was definitely a fun match to watch.
An almost perfect rugby weekend with CalBearKen, old friends from Cal, and old friends from UBC (a former player who comes down for each match). (Sorry we missed you at the pre/post game Beardog26!)!
The weekend was marred only by the fact I blew up another engine while driving from CalBearKen's home to my hotel. This is the second time in 10 years this has happened to me while on a road trip to Witter! These road trips from SoCal are getting very expensive. More away matches in L.A. please
