One of my brushes with fame involved Dr. Seaborg. He was my mother's PHD advisor and my family got to attend a party thrown for him when element 106 was officially named for him. We all received the blue and gold element pins.
The first time I met him I noticed he kept 3x5 cards in his pocket and he write notes often including the names of people was being introduced to, including me! Dr. Seaborg was always happy to point out that even though he did his undergrad at Ucla, he said his heart was with Berkeley especially since his life's work was done there and more importantly, his name was an anagram for Go Bears.
