I think they came to a negotiated settlement that allowed Knowlton to save face publicly, but have a nice parting gift for leaving as well. The important thing IMO is having a plan for who and what comes next.

No inisde info but this seems to have been in the works for a bit. Hopefully Lyons has a working list and a plan.

At the very least, he should have a strong input on JK's successor.

The press release that "going forward Justin Wilcox will report directly to GM Ron Rivera" makes it pretty clear that Larson and Simon-O'Neil will have nothing to do with FB.

Seems like we should get a GM for men's basketball and an "administrator" for all the non-revenue sports.

Maybe it could be basketball in general since the women's game seems to be on the rise as a money maker.
