Goff is the anti-Aaron Rodgers. Is that a bad thing? I guess being a hard working, competitive, highly efficient, good guy quarterback doesn't make for great tv.

I agree. But Goff keeps ending up in these NFL Films "reality TV" type series, including 2 seasons of Hard Knocks.

Don't forget pac12 network "the drive" during the worst season possible. Haha. Seems like these type of shows are always following him around.

Wonder if he consciously dialed things back after getting a lot of heat for saying he didn't know which direction the sun rose/set when he was on the Rams.

He had plenty of personality when he did that undercover NFL QB piece, which was awesome.

Purdy is even more the "anti-Rodgers", yet gets quite a bit of TV exposure without getting caught up in any reality-TV stuff.

I saw Episode 1. It's good. Goff's wife has managed to make it a career booster for herself as well, lots of screen time, including the display of goods and wares during an SI photo shoot in the surf (I ask my wife, "What does this have to do with this documentary?")

I agree in principle but there's always a degree of self-promotion that goes on with these reality shows; for example, Patrick Mahomes got the EP boost for agreeing to take part in the first season so it makes sense that they showed a model at work, although I'm not sure she needed the "career boost" considering she was already the cover model for the SI swimsuit edition.

And they always focus on SO's and that just happens to be her life Hard Knocks did a sizable chunk of an episode at Mike Tomlin's wife's store and showing off her clothing line so I think it's a mutual back scratching and not just an attempt at capitalizing on sexualization. Julie Cousins also got tons of screen time and interviews during this season and season 1, Patrick Mahomes' girlfriend was all over season 1, Amon-Ra St. Brown's girlfriend Brooklynn was a focal point of the 'Wide Receiver' season they did, etc.

That's a bad thing in today's ego driven sport world? I met him when he was a junior at Cal at one of the off Telegraph eateries. He was wearing his football backpack with his number on it - alone - otherwise I wouldn't have recognized him. Even though my wife protested I quietly introduced myself and gave him a Go Bears! He barely blinked and just thanks and repeated it. And you know through all the interviews and limelight, he has remained very much the same. I am a Lions fan simply because of him! Go Jared!
Bring back bottled beer and cigars at CMS. Should get us back in the Rose Bowl!

This former lifetime Raiders fan just owns 3 caps, which I wear for golf, walking, etc.:

*Gosh I'm glad Rams traded him. Although Rams became my team, I went into a gag reflex even thinking about sporting any Rams gear.

I imagine at age 32 with a new baby her days of modeling bikinis are pretty much over.

Having watched 3+ episodes of this show, I thought Goff had at least as much 'personality' as Kirk Cousins. Burrow, however, comes off as the Liberace of quarterbacks- the fur coats, frosted tips, Birkin bag etc. i had no idea.

Wow, I had no idea she was older than Goff. Albeit, a year and a half older, but still.

It was always weird to me that she became a bikini model (or her modeling career got boosted) by dating Goff.

Rivers, Eli, and Roethlisberger in the Top 10 NFL QBs of all time is certainly an opinion.

Ooof - that's for sure. Just one example, I can't imagine any long-time Chargers fan would pick Phillip Rivers over Dan Fouts. And then there's all the 1960s - 1970s guys.

It's interesting to note that none of these schools, despite their football success, were able to produce a top 10-15 all-time NFL QB?

USC, UCLA, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Florida St, Miami, Clemson.

Aikman for UCLA is an outside candidate, but yeah, slim pickings on that list of heavyweights.

Namath and Stabler for Alabama, not quite Top 10-15 but definitely NFL greats. Also, going a long ways back, Y.A. Tittle for LSU. Texas, Alabama, and I think Oklahoma were wishbone teams for a number of years, so recruited QBs with different skillsets than NFL QBs.

It didn't get any cooler than righteous burns and a Fu Manchu…….especially at a time when the best I was putting on the board was peach fuzz.

1. I believe you are technically correct, but if you search the media 50 years ago on those two gentlemen, they called them Fu Manchus….the people around my age got it; and

2. If memory serves, although it causes you personal pain to correct someone on these pages, it is worth the public good served.
