The real question is . . . does he come into this season with new dad superpowers? I've seen so many athletes go off for the season of their lives after becoming a new parent, especially with their first kid, so I'm hoping Jared is one of them. Now we just need him to have a son who will be a 3rd generation Cal athlete and lead us to a threepeat national championship (leave me alone and let me hope, it's good to have dreams even if it's for . . . 20 years from now)
