I can't go with Rudy as #1 as every comment I've seen from people in the Notre Dame program back then said that few if any of the events depicted in the movie happened. Joe Montana never put his jersey on the coaches desk and threatened to quit the team if Rudy didn't get a chance to play. It was an almost entirely fictional movie. Even if you go along with it all, Rudy only played at the tail end of one game in his collegiate career.
