Anyone going to the Friday night game in Blacksburg? I live in DC so it will be a 4 hour drive.

Has anyone been there? It will be peak fall colors time so hopefully people can enjoy the scenery.

it'd be an option it weren't a friday game. getting there from the west coast seems like too tall a task.

have a blast though!

Planning to go with my son and possibly my brother as well. It is a more challenging location to get to but wth. Can't wait for Enter Sandman and a Bears dub!

Dulles is 4 hours away. You would def need to take the entire day off.

Just looked on a map: Wow, that's miles from nowhere! What is that area like and what's going on there (besides Cal playing)?

I'm flying into Raleigh/Durham and then driving to Roanoke for a hotel…think I will go to Asheville for a couple days after the game…

If we were not playing in Boston this season Virginia Tech would have been a nice trip but also since it's on a Friday and out of the way, becomes impractical

Houston (IAH) to ATL to Roanoke-Blacksburg airport. Coming in Thursday evening. I would probably have gone to Bc but had too many conflict so this was the fallback.

It will be peak fall foliage season

Yo could hike to the Cascades for fall waterfall view, then the Smithfield Plantation

You could take a short drive to the New River for scenic overlooks or to explore the covered bridges and Civil War history
