Who do these players think they are?

"Major changes are coming to the transfer portal in college football after the NCAA FBS Oversight Committee voted Thursday to move to a January transfer window and eliminate the spring window.
The proposed lone transfer window would be a 10-day period that opens Jan. 2, 2026, one day after the College Football Playoff quarterfinals are completed. The Division I Administrative Committee must approve the legislative changes before it can take effect. The vote is expected to occur before Oct. 1."

Lawsuits are coming.

It will stop no one from transferring in Spring. It can't, but without the Portal it will be even more chaotic. Possibly "managed" by 247.

Oh good, more input from the plaintiff's bar! They've done such a wonderful job of restructuring intercollegiate athletics over the last decade or so.

"Crying on the yacht." lol

"Ohio State coach Ryan Day said Tuesday that he was not a fan of the proposal to open the transfer portal window on Jan. 2, 2026, for a 10-day period immediately following the CFP quarterfinals. Day is concerned about the difficulty of assembling a roster for next season while still competing in the playoff.
He said he believes a majority of Big Ten coaches and Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti agree with him. Kelly said his fellow SEC coaches are unanimous in their support of shifting to a January portal period."

I'm not sure what this will accomplish. Kids who decide to transfer will sit out like we saw for the SMU game last year.
