For this week, you know the drill, odds are for the home team, my bold, and once in a while correct, picks are in italics.

Cal @ Boston College -6.5: Going with my heart on this one, and hoping it doesn't need CPR before halftime. Cal to beat the spread and pull off the upset.

Florida State @ Virginia +6.5: Cavaliers keep it close, but not close enough. FSU covers.

Georgia Tech @ Wake Forest +13.5: Demon Deacons get exorcised. GT covers.

Duke @ Syracuse +5.5: Duke is pretty good, but not good enough to cover. Syracuse beats the spread.

Louisville @ Pitt +4.5: Giving the home team the nod. Pitt covers.

Virginia Tech @ NC State -10.5: No rallying after firing the coach. NC State covers.

San Jose State @ Furd -2.5: Circus Minimus is packed with fans trying out their Halloween costumes as empty seats. Furd covers.

Bye has a busy week battling Clemson, SMU, North Carolina, and Miami.

Wow, I look at the slate of games and I'm still not feeling the ACC (except for the game Cal's playing in). When I see ACC Team XYZ is playing ACC Team ABC, my initial response is why would that game interest me in the slightest? I'd better hurry up and get myself to care about this conference... while it's still around!

I do care about Boston College this week, of course. I wanna see them get clown stomped!

It's a, fair reaction. Most of the good teams aren't playing though, so it's usually a little more interesting than that

Oregon State loses to Houston in OT, 27-24 after leading by two scores in the 4th.

OSU is now 0-5 and our opening win looks less impressive.
