I need this to stick above 10 so I can hedge toward my 5.5 total win wager, and my emotions.

This is an insanely high line.

The line isn't that high when you consider that we have veteran coach JUSTIN WILCOX and they have some what's-his-name guy who has only coached a few college games in his entire life.

Their dysfunction has made much bigger headlines than ours.

I wouldn't touch that line in either direction. UNC is a train wreck and they could just flat out not show up and we demolish them. Or they could show up and play decently and we lose. I could see either team saying "eff it" and come out fired up and I could see either team caving. Or I could see Cheez Its.

If Wilcox looks disengaged on the sideline again, we aren't getting to 12.5 unless UNC tanks it (which they very well might).

The reason I've had this game circled has changed no less than 3 times since preseason. Initially it was to watch us play against the HoF coaching legend, then as the season unfolded it was changed to the idea that we might actually win the game too, and now finally I'm just going to rubberneck the head on collision of two dysfunctional "programs." I think UNC covers but hoping we win. But I thought same about the Aztec line, god forbid the same thing happens.

It'll compete with the ending of the NLCS game between the Brewers and the Dodgers for the first hour or so. After that, people will probably tune in to the Cal game since there's really nothing else on TV (sports-wise).

UNC is arguably the worst 2 win team in the country, but likewise we may also be the worst 4 win team in the country...

Other way around …. Lowering the spread makes it so there will be more action on the favorite. Bettors are taking the points (and UNC) so they lower the points to get more action on Cal
