Stojakovic "is an actual demon" for averaging 13 points, 2 assists, 4 rebounds and 20% from 3 and 50% from the line? All those numbers are worse than he averaged at Cal, except at Cal, he averaged 1.8 assists instead of 2, a microscopic improvement.

As the captain in Airport said, he chose the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

He must've moved onto something stronger.

Andre made the rest of his teammates look worse. You can really see it in comparison to last year. I realize a different group of guys but last years lack of defensive intensity is so clear when compared to this years. Guys fight through ball screens, they close out really well. They don't go through the motions while their HOF dad scowls from the bleachers and mentally counts how many touches his boy is getting.

He is not one of those guys I hate losing.

Looks like about 18,000 fans were at the game last night. Based on Cal's current attendance, it will take 18 games for that amount of fans to show up and watch Cal basketball games. Yikes.

In fairness to the original tweet, (although, I don't know why he had to drag us into it) it was overly enthusiastically responding to Stojakovic having a very huge game last night. When you guys posted, those stats hadn't rolled into his season stats which are now significantly better. His two point FG % is significantly higher than last year. His threes are about the same though he is not taking a lot, which is good because he isn't great at it. Whether that is a mirage based on one very good game in small sample set, we will see. He did have a lot of turnovers in the game though. His FT% is bizarrely bad which I think is a red flag given that it was bad prior to last year. Frankly, I always felt like there is a certain attitude of entitlement of being an NBA legacy and I'm not sure there is that Michael Jordan passion to be the best player he can be.

I don't see him as an All American and he is definitely not the Mendoza of basketball. I thought he was overrated by Cal fans last year (until he left and then was suddenly not important). He is a good player. A useful tool. IMO a good #3 or #4 in your starting lineup, but not a #1 as he was here. The scoring is useful, but to me, he just doesn't make others better. Maybe a little worse. His benefit to the team is the production he provides as indicated in the stat sheet. He does have the potential to do better than I expect. so we will see how he develops over the season.

That said, it would have been nice to keep him. We have replaced him, but if we want to do better than 14 wins, we can't just replace last year's guys. We need to keep them and improve. I haven't gotten a lot of a chance to see this year's team, but from what I've seen I'd say they are definitely more fun to watch. So far I stick with my 17 win pre-season projection. There seemed to be a lot of excitement over a comeback against a relatively poor KState team and having the Blue Hose push us for 30 minutes was not a good performance. But we've been more cohesive and have 3 solid shooters. Would we be better with Stojakovic and Wilkinson? Yes. Has their performance so far indicated that there was some scheme issue at Cal that was holding them back? No.
