It looked like the Stanford side was maybe at 50%. I couldn't see the Cal side since I was sitting in it, but it might have been a bit better.

So taking into account the fans who were in concession/bathroom lines, maybe there were 35,000 there? Generously.

Which has got to be the worst attendance at a BG in the 100 years since Memorial and Stanford Stadium were built.

Which begs the question: why then is it so hard to get out of Palo Alto? Took us 90 minutes from the stadium to the freeway.

I missed the year that my family, who used to tailgate religiously, started a bonfire in the Stanford earthy parking lot under the eucalyptus trees after the game.

We always brought a trunk of food and drink.

Attendance was weird at the beginning it looked like 10 k but at the end it looked like 50 k. But maybe the cmsera angle got tighter
