He was talking about Sonny Dykes, not Tosh Lupoi
Tedford is only 64 and will be back from a year of rest.

I like he didn't hire a search firm- that would really be disappointing.
Anarchistbear said:Ron Rivera says Cal will not be using a search firm. There will be a committee that he uses. He already has a list of candidates that he wants to get down to 10 names soon.

I'm liking the HC at New Mexico, Jason Eck. Lots of experience, offense minded, turn around at Idaho and New Mexico. Passionate players coach.

You can make bowl games, but money is a big problem. And can anyone keep JKS around?
Tosh Lupoi, Jim Mora, Sean Lewis and other names to watch: https://t.co/rTMf0NMJ0W pic.twitter.com/31cUYtREYU
One thing in our favor: we are very slow to fire underperforming football coaches.
Yes, which makes it an A for coaches. Stay here 10 years and amass generational wealth
Plus, maybe for the first time, we have a football guy making the call...and a Cal guy to boot. And, another Cal guy over the whole business.

A "cal guy" wrassler hired Square Jaw.

I almost was. He called me, but my kids have conditioned me to never take a call without a text first, so I let it go to voice mail. By the time I got back to him, he had already taken Yogi.
Sources: Colorado State is expected to make UConn coach Jim Mora the school’s next head coach. The deal is expected to come together in the near future. Mora is coming off back-to-back nine-win seasons at UConn, a school that hadn’t had a 9-win football season since 2007.

Could Tosh as HC and Stein as his OC happen? Tosh could give him full control of the offense and maybe Cal can pony up for a big salary? That'd be a monster combo for recruiting, offense, and D. And it could give Stein the stepping stone he might need to a bigger job. And it would **** Oregon over which would be the cherry on top.

Why would Will Stein take a demotion to be Cal's OC?

As I said, full control of the offense (which he doesn't have with Lanning) and $$$$. Cal likely can't pay him more than Oregon but this is a hypothetical so let's dream a little.
